I wrote this poem after feeling betrayed by someone I was dating. At the same time, I was grieving my dad leaving my family. At some point in the poem, I don't know who I'm talking to anymore. The grief I was feeling at the time was so overwhelming; I wanted this piece to feel like it was overflowing.
